Summer is in full swing here in Cushendun (sunshine or not).
This weekend the Glens Paddle Club is hosting an Open Mic Night at 8pm on Friday 25, and the Pop up Tea Room returns on Sunday 27. It will be open from 11am to 4pm, or until everything’s gone!
On Sunday 10 August we have a treat in the form of Benches from Jak-in-the-Box Pop-Up Theatre. In this promenade-style experience the benches of Cushendun will come alive with a whole host of visiting characters as their stories unfold around the village. Tickets available here.
Julie by Kabosh Theatre Company on 17 August is now sold out. Thank you to everyone who has booked.
The Cushendun Local Painters present an Art Exhibition on 23-24 August, open 11am to 4pm each day.
The over-popular Book Sale returns 11am to 4pm 30-31 August.

Culture Month 2025

The programme for our annual celebration of culture and heritage from Cushendun, Ireland and beyond is now live!
From 6 September to 5 October, a range of music, dance, theatre, talks, and exhibitions will be on offer. We look forward to welcoming the Ulster Orchestra; Mary Dillon, Dónal O’Connor & Neil Martin; Fergal Keane; Patrick Casement & Leo Keohane; and many more as we celebrate the stories of characters such as Roberta Hewitt, Robert Emmet, Patricia Mulholland and others.
This year we are pleased to offer Earlybird prices on a number of events. Individual discounts apply until 14 days beforehand. We also have under 18s tickets at £5 for those young folk who are keen to join in.
The full programme is now available on our website and early booking is recommended.
