An evening of Live Music with Na Leanaí

Na Leanai are the children and grandchildren of the Sands Family, a name synonymous with Irish folk music for generations. Having spent their childhoods following their parents on the folk circuit, they grew up surrounded by music — learning songs and tunes from their family and from the many renowned musicians they met along the way, from kitchen sessions to backstage gatherings at concert halls across the world.
Their performances bring together traditional Irish ballads, lively jigs and reels, storytelling and the rich family harmonies that come from years of singing together. With a deep respect for their roots and a sound all of their own, Na Leanai continue the musical tradition passed down through the generations.
The band has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at festivals and venues across Germany, Denmark, Ireland and England. Their debut album, Kindred Roots, was released in 2015, followed by Branching Out in 2017, marking the next chapter in this musical family story.
We are delighted to welcome them to the Old Church Centre for a cosy and intimate evening of music. Bring your own refreshments.
