Imbolc, later turned into St.Brigid’s Day or Candlemas, is traditionally celebrated on February 1st-2nd and marks the start of spring in the Celtic calendar. It once belonged to the ancient Irish Goddess Brigid and we will learn about her whilst visiting a holy well before taking a walk in a stunning, local, native woodland, where we will have a chance to welcome spring and practice grounding ourselves in the landscape before tucking into a delicious Ursa Minor packed lunch.
We will then make our way to Cushendun’s Old Church Centre for a Brigid’s Cross workshop whilst warming up with tea or coffee, before a rejuvenating and restorative yoga practice.
N.B The way into the woods is steep, please ensure you have adequate footwear.
Lunch will be provided on the walk but please bring your own beverage. If you have any dietary or allergy requirements please message before the day.
