4 May 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

£14

An evening of music with the Glenlough Community Choir and Harpist Gráinne Meyer

Choir 7-7.45pm
Harpist 8-9pm

Glenlough Community Choir was founded in September 2019 and is conducted by Anne McCambridge. Singers hail from the villages of Carnlough and Glenarm and the surrounding areas on the beautiful North Antrim coast. The choir is a multigenerational, diverse and welcoming group who perform a wide repertoire of songs from country to classical. Audiences love our dynamic, joyful performances and we love singing for them!

Anne McCambridge is an inspirational leader of choirs across Northern Ireland. She is the founder of Glenlough Community Choir, the ‘Pick Me Up Choirs’ of Carnlough, Glenarm, Ballygally and Broughshane. We are excited to welcome Anne to the Big Arts Weekend for a programme of lively songs from the Glenlough Choir.

Country Antrim based composer, harpist and pianist Gráinne Meyer is the most recent winner of the World Music Competition following performances at Wales International Harp Festival 2023. Drawing from a background in both traditional Irish and concert harp, Gráinne’s music combines both approaches to create a distinctive sound characterised by “an evolved and multidimensional approach to melody” – Pwyll ap Siôn.
