The Old Church Centre runs a busy programme of heritage, arts and community activities, including music, cinema, talks workshops and exhibitions and is a ‘drop-in’ destination for visitors. It is available for hire for conferences, events and weddings and is also developing an online presence with video streaming facilities and excellent broadband.

Inevitably the Old Church Centre was adversely affected by lockdown and by the Covid-related restrictions of 2020-2021. However, the last two years have highlighted the value of community, local heritage and real-life experiences. The Centre is now experiencing a considerable upsurge in activities. To date, the Centre and its day to day activities have been managed by the (voluntary) management Board of Directors and volunteer team, supported by two part-time members of staff, the Administrator and the Marketing and Programming Officer. However, with increased demand for the venue, CBPT is looking for a Centre & Visitor Experience Coordinator (the Coordinator) to take on the day-to-day management of the centre, ensuring that it remains a sustainable project and can grow to meet its full potential. 30 hours a week for a period of three years on NJC Payscale (SO1 £30,451) pro-rata to £24,360 for 30 hrs).
