‘Summer Sounds’ returns this Friday night

We are delighted to welcome Manny and Brian back to the Old Church this Friday 29 July for the second instalment of Summer Sounds. This weekend they will be joined by Antrim legend – Niall Patterson – who might have a few of his new books with him to buy if anyone fancies a signed copy! They will also be joined by a few other guest musicians on the night for what is sure to be a great evening of craic and ceol. They will be playing music from throughout the decades with special attention to country classics and Irish showband tunes. Join us from 8pm, BYOB and either book here or pay on the door – £5 entry.

Summer Fun in Cushendun continues…

Last week’s workshops for kids were a great success. We were thrilled to welcome so many new faces into the Old Church Centre. Why not take a look at some of the pictures on our Facebook page? Looking forward to next month, we will have the Glens Drama Group running a couple of workshops. While the first workshop for the younger kids is FULLY BOOKED, there are still tickets available for the 17 & 18 August drama workshops for kids in P5+. You can book online here.

And in other news…

We are delighted to welcome Stephen Byrne to the Old Centre Centre team as Visitor Experience Co-Ordinator. Stephen started in July and brings with him a wealth of experience from the heritage sector, working across the UK & Ireland, and we are thrilled to have him on board. He will work closely with Maeve and Rosemary and our dedicated team of volunteers, so make sure to pop in and say hello over the summer!

Looking forward to September, we will have 4 weekends of programming to fill our Culture and Heritage Month, full details will be announced next week – so stay tuned for that.
