An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until 10 December 2025
The Reading Circle re-convenes on 1 October.
There will be two ten-week blocks, with the dates up to Christmas as follows: October 1, 8, 15, 22; November 5, 12, 19, 26; December 3 and 10. Please note the break for Hallowe’en on 29th October.
Lots of literary goodies are in store, including short stories by Virginia Woolf and Flannery O’Connor, excerpts from Woolf’s To the Lighthouse, E.M. Forster’s A Room with a View and Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, and poetry by Yeats and Derek Mahon. Drama texts for this year are O’Casey’s The Plough and the Stars and Shadow of a Gunman, though it may be after Christmas when we begin those.
